GPSC Junior Town Planner Essential/Desirable Qualification & Syllabus:
A Bachelor’s Degree of Architecture or Civil Engineering/Technology and
A Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in City Planning or Town Planning or Traffic or Transportation Planning or Regional Planning or Urban Design obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other Educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or a membership obtained by an examination of Institute of Town Planners of India.;
Possess the basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Service Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
GPSC Junior Town Planner Syllabus:
Preliminary Test Examination Method: Candidates for appointment to these posts will be selected by conducting preliminary test and face to face interview. Eligibility of candidates for face-to-face interview will be determined in accordance with the preliminary test gun sequence and in accordance with the recruitment rules, commission office order and existing provisions of the government.
In the preliminary test the candidate will get less than 15% marks. So they will not be eligible for face-to-face interview. Otherwise the medium of this test will be decided by the Commission otherwise it will be Gujarati.
There will be 100 questions out of 100 marks in general study and 200 questions out of 200 marks in the related subject. Thus there will be 300 questions out of a total of 300 marks. The time for this preliminary test will be 180 minutes.
GPSC Junior Town Planner Experience(If any) Description:
Have at least five years of experience on the post, not below the rank of Planning Assistant in Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation. or
Have at least five years experience in the field of civil engineering or urban planning or city planning or town planning in Government or local bodies or Government undertaking board or corporation or limited company established under the Companies Act, 2013 on the post which can be considered equivalent to the post not below the rank of Planning Assistant in Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation.
